Saturday is your last chance to nominate for Regional Relays. Be a part of this fun carnival and Tweed are hosting it this year so why not be a part of it at home.
Check out the program of events and come and see us on Saturday to fill out the nomination form and pay the fees.

Regional Relays

Regional Relays

Tweed Little Athletics will be hosting this carnival for the South Coast Queensland Region on Saturday, November 12.  All athletes from Under 7 to Under 17 are welcome, and we encourage you to support this event at home.

Track teams are made up of 4 athletes, and field teams of a minimum of 2 athletes.  Qualifying teams will be eligible to attend State Relays in December.

Please refer to the Program for the scheduled events.  (*Note- all times are in Queensland time).

Simply complete the Nomination Form and return with payment to the nominations officer on Saturday morning.  Athletes can nominate for up to 5 events.  The nomination fee is $5 per event per athlete. Nominations close this Saturday, October 29.

Tweed are hosting this event this year on Saturday 12 November. Relays is a fun teams based carnival and a great opportunity to participate in a team with their Tweed teammates. $5 per event to enter. Please complete nomination form and return with payment to the nominations officer in the canteen.

Congratulations to the athletes who participated in Regional Championships last weekend, and a massive thank you to all the parent helpers and committee volunteers.

State Championships

To be held at Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre (QSAC), Nathan, Brisbane (Exit 14) – March 11th to 13th.

Results from Regional Championships– highlighted athletes have qualified to attend LAQ State Championships.

Please confirm attendance and pay $4 per event nomination fee by Saturday, February 19.

LAQ Combined Events Championships

Nominations are now open for LAQ Combined Events Championships in Brisbane to be held on February 26 and 27.  A variety of options are available to compete in, including throws triathlon, jumps triathlon, tetrathlon, heptathlon and pentathlon for Under 7 to Under 17 athletes.  Register and $15 payment through ResultsHQ Parent Portal.  Nominations close 9am, Monday February 14.

Nominations for Regional Championships
This week is your last chance to nominate for Regional Championships being held in Ashmore on the 4th, 5th and 6th February. There is no normal Little Athletics at Kingscliff on Saturday 5 February. Nominations close 8.59am 24 January.
Regional Championships is open to all under 7 to under 17 athletes to compete in up to 5 events of their choice against athletes from other clubs on the Gold Coast.
Cost to register is $15 and nominations are done through the Results HQ Family Portal.
If you need help nominating please let us know so we can help.
Walks events are being held Friday 4 February with marshalling at 4.30pm (QLD Time) and first event to start at 5.00pm.
Saturday the first call for events will be 7.45am, so please ensure you are there early to not miss marshalling calls.
Tweed will have tents setup at the northern end of the track at Ashmore.
Please note:
• Top 8 in field events get 1 additional throw or jump (does not apply to High Jump)
• 400m are run as timed finals. No Heats and Finals.
• Under 9s to Under 17s who finish in the top 4 of a field event and a track final qualify for State Championships. In additional to placegetters, U9 – U17’s by competing at the Regional Championships and achieving a “Qualifying Performance Level” also qualify and can nominate
